If you're only papering the wall behind the bed, measure just that wall — the planner handles a single wall the same way it handles a whole room.
Match the pattern at eye level
Seams at eye level are the most noticeable in a bedroom. Plan pattern-matched cuts to fall above head height where possible.

Common questions
Do I need to paper behind the wardrobe?
Usually no — most people skip areas that will be permanently covered by built-in furniture. Leave that section out of your measurements.
What height should I use for a sloped bedroom ceiling?
Use the tallest point of the wall for a safe estimate; you'll trim the excess on shorter strips.
Do I need to subtract the door and windows from my wallpaper calculation?
Yes, but conservatively. Subtract the full area of the door. For windows, subtract 50–70% of the window area — strips that run alongside or above a window are often only partly usable, so a full deduction overstates the saving. For a bedroom with one door and one standard window, the net saving is usually 1–2 rolls compared with treating all walls as solid.
How many rolls of wallpaper do I need for a bedroom?
A standard double bedroom of about 3.6 × 3.6 m with a 2.4 m ceiling typically needs 9–12 rolls for all four walls with a plain or small-repeat paper. With a large pattern repeat (above 60 cm), expect 12–16 rolls. For a single bed-head feature wall, 2–3 rolls is usually enough.
